There are folk of sincere intent on the opposite sides of many issues, and we must learn to communicate and consider varied perspectives. Rational debate has sadly and willfully been destroyed under those that choose to divide.
I strive for a balanced perspective. This does not mean I do not hold a definite opinion on issues. It means that I understand that all earthly subjects are relative, and like science, depend on incomplete information. There is always a bigger telescope, or a more powerful microscope. I also know we are all flawed. “Those of us too good for this world, are adorning some other.”
My posts will be rare, and certainly not fill up your in-box. There are many very qualified individuals providing daily news feeds. There are experts on many diverse fields posting detailed perspectives on the days contemporary events. My infrequent posts will be of three varieties…
Occasionally I notice a facet of a contemporary subject that is, I.M.V. being either missed entirely, or rarely given the attention it warrants. This post (link) Covid 2020 vs 2023 and Prophylactics applied beyond studies. is the first of that intent, covering two observations. The 2020 policies of the over exaggeration of COVID by governments and three letter agencies, is now reversed, yet it is not being well noticed. And the second observation is that any successful study should be far more effective than the study itself, when administered in real life contact tracing and or mass implementation to the general public. Here I compare Ivermectin in practice, versus the vaccines.
Occasionally I hope to do a longer post like the Global Warming post, that is written to summarize an overview of the situation, and is specifically designed to be shared with skeptics of the view presented, to present a broad based summary of various aspects of the subject in question that encapsulates the cogent factors that must be considered for anyone to legitimately formalize a rational perspective.
For instance, regarding COVID and the vaccines, it is rather hopeless to hope to get a friend or loved one to read long detailed articles on why the COVID infection statistics on vaccinated versus un-vaccinated, are not what is presented, and another on why the virus is likely man made, and another on why the vaccines are harmful and ineffective, and another on why they force evasive mutations, why they cause immune system harm, why they are primarily responsible for excess deaths, or to even convince one there are excess deaths. Also one needs to explain VAERS and why it is legitimate and wrongly ignored. Additionally needed is everything the CDC and other government agencies do that purposefully ignores effective solutions to the pandemic, and properly determining the efficacy of the vaccines. All of this and more, is valid and rationally required prior to forming a valid position. Each skeptical position is layered, and they reinforce the other reasons, so the issue must be tied together as a comprehensive whole. A poor first attempt often closes the door on any further.
This birds eye view is problematic to express, so most folk send one detailed post on one aspect or another of a multifaceted issue. The person reading only has to find some critique of that particular study, or a contrary paper on that particular assertion, or a contrary assertion from an MSM narrative “fact checker” and they go on, unconvinced and perhaps resentful.
Indeed, when one is taking a contrary to the narrative position, one is at a disadvantage based on the inescapable reality that every other possible perspective is loaded into the skeptics position, thus your view, no matter how rational, is part of the everything else “denier” camp. You deny GHGs have any possible warming. You deny viruses are real. You are a Moon landing denier, and a “conspiracy theorist”. You are lumped with “them” and often effectively marginalized.
This is why I do not address things like chem-trails, or weather modifications, or the position that there is no greenhouse effect, or the possible US cause of 911, or the “viruses are not real” position. They may, or may not be supportable, but they are in a losing position, (a minority even within the skeptics camp) and often a distracting position from the main issues affecting policy and destroying nations and lives. So, as I have not committed the time and effort required to have a position on those rare views, I leave them be. (“Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”)
That is why I wrote this below article on Global Warming, to, as articulately as I am able, tackle the issue from every important policy affecting perspective.
So in that post, I presented an overview on the theory itself, the false marginalization of the PHD skeptics, the stellar qualifications of the skeptical scientists, the overwhelming benefits to increased CO2, the failure of the harms to manifest, the ever reducing ability of CO2 to effect GMT, the inevitable rise of CO2 regardless of the attempted Paris accords, the very small and pointless degree of warming prevented even if the Paris accords were followed in full, the political use of the issue to obtain political power, and the multiple factors that cause many to follow the PC narrative, even if they have doubts. If you have not read it please do. I can assure that I have had several CAGW asserting friends read it, and say that it was cause to reconsider entirely their view on “Climate Change”, and, as their media completely failed to inform them of these facts, other issues as well! Also consider liking and sharing any such post if you find them of value. I plan a similar style post on COVID and the vaccines, yet that takes time to get right.
Finally I will do the occasional philosophy post like the one linked below.
I have been told that philosophy is theoretical and not practical. The below post was attacked by one for that, and for giving little hope. I did not agree, as philosophy is universal. We all live our philosophy via our actions, our behaviors, our emotions and values, our habits and weaknesses, whatever they are, our lives and desires are our philosophy lived and manifest. So I actually consider such a post as hopeful and immensely practical. I tried to tell my critic that not accepting this reality of a needed human evolution in education to better understand morality, and teach as practical a better understanding of true happiness, means we are doomed to repeat the sad human history of broken civilizations and cultures. Please like and share as you find time. Please politely critique as you find time as well, or consider comments with links that also support the assertions made. All the Best…

Interesting opening, something I can equate with. i happen to live in a small community on the west coast of Vancouver island BC, Canada. In truth, the issues that affect my life will not necessarily be your and so to be respectful of your time, the one attribute each of us is born with and lose one precious minute at a time, concise writing is what we owe each other. In that view I offer you a place to find some insights that I've documented, but not advertised heavily as "some good ides are buried under a load of somewhat unedited verbiage."
The reason I offer this is that I too have written much on the climate issue and most recently, the Covid issue, mainly sharing your perspective. There may be a gem in there for you. It's here https://gseine.com/
and now I will get on with reading what you've written, cheers, gs
Good luck, David! You start with a fine title, and some good limiting principles.
